Job summary

Humana's CenterWell Senior Primary Care clinic in North Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patient care. This onsite role combines clinical tasks with administrative duties at 240 Hwy 17 North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.

You will support providers during visits, take vital signs, collect specimens, document in EHR/EMR, and participate in TB screening and safety programs. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program and CMA/RMA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.
• This role is patient-facing and requires TB screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist healthcare providers with procedures and treatments.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medication under provider supervision.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EHR/EMR, including HEDIS/Stars measures.
