Health Care Resource Centers, a progressive substance abuse treatment organization, seeks a certified Medical Assistant to greet patients, schedule appointments and collect information. You will take vital signs, support practitioners and collect lab samples in a busy outpatient clinic.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, CPR/BCLS certification, and a strong, empathetic approach to patients with Substance Use Disorder, with attention to detail and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified or registered Medical Assistant status required.
• Phlebotomy is required.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Ability to maintain records and confidential information.

Aufgaben

• Schedules intake appointments, verifies patient information and prepares medical records.
• Check in patients, measure vital signs and enter data into electronic charts.
• Assist Medical Director/Program Physician with patient intakes.
• Obtain blood specimens and collect nonblood specimens for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms and disinfect equipment and supplies.
• Act as receptionist and handle secretarial duties.
• Triage calls and manage messages and referrals.
• File lab results and distribute to counselors.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
