Job summary

Mercy Clinic Springfield is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff in delivering patient care within the Gastroenterology Clinic. The role requires an MA background and a commitment to Mercy’s compassionate care philosophy.

Full-time, Monday–Friday, with health benefits, tuition support, and retirement plans. Training through the MA Clinic Academy is provided for new hires.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic. New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician and office staff with patient care activities consistent with established standards of nursing practice.
• Carries out responsibilities with Mercy Philosophy of caring, respect for human life and dignity, applying Christian values.
• Maintains a caring, friendly, professional approach when communicating with patients, families, visitors and co-workers.
