Job summary

Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join Monadnock Rheumatology Associates on a full-time basis. You will support clinicians with rooming patients, vital signs, blood draws, injections, and EMR documentation.

The role requires CMA certification and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced specialty clinic, with opportunities for growth and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of CMA certification and registration is required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exam, and during procedures.
• Assist physician in examinations, including taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information per procedures, including referrals and lab slips.
• Perform basic medical procedures such as blood draws and collecting specimens, and conducting basic tests.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness and proper equipment, adhering to infection control policies.
• Provide compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds and ensure a respectful environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous learning.
• Other duties as assigned.
