Job summary

Valor Healthcare, Inc. seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Community Based Outpatient Clinic in East LA. You will collaborate with the PACT team to provide prescribed medical care and support in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate records, and smooth clinic operations. Candidates should have an accredited MA diploma, two years’ experience, and strong English communication skills. VA credentialing may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited program; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Minimum two years’ MA experience in primary/ambulatory care; VA contract experience may vary.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient care, exams, and routine procedures.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage electronic wait lists.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
• Prepare patient check-in lists with medications for next day.
• Collect lab specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing.
• Operate ECG and other diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain compliance with VA/JC/OIG requirements and care standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues.
