Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Diploma from accredited medical assistant program required.
  • CPR/BLS required.
  • Medication Aide Certification required within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the provider by facilitating patient and information flow through the visit.
  • Review schedule daily and prepare EHR and supplies to promote smooth patient flow.
  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms in a confidential manner.
  • Obtain visit purpose and vital signs; document accurately in the EHR.
  • Administer immunizations and injections under supervision.
  • Prepare specimens for processing and perform in-house tests per orders.
  • Assist with scheduling follow-up procedures or referrals.
  • Maintain exam rooms and restock supplies as needed.
