Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 40-hour day shift in Family Practice. You will assist providers, take histories, record vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and handle administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Under supervision, you’ll contribute to a patient-centered experience, using EPIC EMR and clinical skills to support high-quality care in a large health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hours) or equivalent clinical experience.
• Current BLS-C on hire or by end of orientation.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and record medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the practice operations.
• Contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered care experience.
