Job summary

Lifetime Family Medicine LLC in Gainesville, VA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our outpatient family practice team. You will room patients, record vitals, assist physicians, and support procedures in a patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates hold CMA or RMA certification; experience in a family practice or outpatient clinic is preferred. Proficiency with EHR/EMR (Athena Health) and CPR/BLS certification are required or obtainable on hire.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required or preferred.
• Proficient with EHR/EMR platforms (Athena Health preferred) and medical documentation.
• Strong clinical skills including injections and vital signs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians and providers with examinations and outpatient procedures.
• Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy as directed.
• Manage and document accurate patient records using EHR/EMR systems.
• Prepare and sterilize exam rooms and medical equipment between patient visits.
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care instructions.
