Job summary

GI Associates is looking for a Medical Assistant for their Wisconsin Rapids location, playing a key role in patient care by managing check-in and checkout processes. You will support healthcare providers by educating patients on care plans, preparing charts, and assisting during procedures.

Ideal candidates should possess interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and be detail-oriented. A preferred Medical Assistant certification and BLS certification are required. Experience in a healthcare environment is also favored.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Current certification through an approved Medical Assistant credentialing organization preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic understanding of pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient rooming and check-out processes.
• Accurately enter provider's orders using computerized provider order entry (CPOE).
• Educate patients on care plans and related items.
• Maintain readiness of charts prior to office visits.
• Record actions in the electronic medical record.
