Job summary
CHAS Health in Spokane Valley is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at assigned clinics. You will greet patients, prepare them for the provider, perform phlebotomy and injections, and assist with patient education and care coordination.
Required MA training with certification within 120 days; WA credential is needed. Prior community health and EHR experience is preferred. CHAS Health offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Completion of medical assistant training through an apprenticeship or accredited college program.
- Certification through AAMA, NHA or NCCT within 120 days of hire.
- WA locations require MA-C credential from WA Dept of Health.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort to exam room and inform about delays.
- Prepare patients for provider and maintain efficient flow.
- Perform phlebotomy and lab procedures as directed.
- Perform injections and immunizations.
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
- Assist provider with procedures and patient education.
- Process prescription refills with provider authorization.
- Manage referrals and required documentation.
