Job summary

ClareMedica is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide ancillary clinical support to clinic providers, ensuring efficient patient care. You will collaborate with the PCP and fellow MAs, maintaining compassionate, compliant care and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient prep, assisting with exams, medical records, and coordinating tests. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for local travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program preferred.
• At least 1 year of MA/Patient Care Technician experience in a clinic or hospital OR clinical rotation.
• CPR for Health Care workers preferred.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• OSHA standard adherence and infection control training.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel locally/regionally up to 10%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to type ≥40 WPM.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient vital signs and medical history.
• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and therapeutic measures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Monitor and record physiological measurements.
• Provide treatment according to protocols and physician instructions.
• Notify PCP/clinician of patient changes and coordinate care.
• Coordinate radiographic and laboratory studies as directed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Handle patient phone messages and communicate with staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
