Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work variable/rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment.
• Ability to follow clinic procedures and report concerns to licensed staff.
• Capable of supporting patient care and clerical tasks under supervision.
• Demonstrated communication skills and teamwork with medical staff.
• Competency testing may be required before performing specialty skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures per clinic procedures.
• Reports patient concerns and condition changes to licensed staff.
• Performs CLIA waivered lab tests and reports results.
• Performs injections, catheterization, suture removal and related tasks as directed.
• Acts as chaperone during examinations and assists with procedures.
• Monitors and cleans examination rooms and coordinates restocking.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments and procedures.
• Assists with filing, records retrieval and billing charges.
• Completes mandatory education on infection control, CPR, safety and equipment usage.
• May perform patient phlebotomy and assist with EKG/ultrasound under supervision.
• Provides patient education materials and basic health information.
