Job summary

Vi Living is seeking a Medical Technician at Vi at La Jolla Village in San Diego, CA. The role supports clinical and technical care for residents, performing medication administration, direct patient care, and coordination with the care team.

It is a safety-sensitive position with a focus on accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (GED acceptable), CNA certification, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications; 6 months of med tech

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Work Experience: Prior med tech experience with geriatric clients preferred; 6 months preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current state CNA certification preferred; must complete Med Tech Training; CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Administers resident medications as prescribed by a physician within Med Tech scope; verifies identity and records administration.
• Provides direct patient care such as bathing, dressing, feeding; assists in exams and treatments.
• Maintains medication inventories and documentation; follows safety and infection control policies.
• Communicates with healthcare team; participates in quality improvement activities and meets facility policy.
