Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the RN.
• Performs patient care tasks under the RN including vital signs, glucose testing, phlebotomy, electrode placement, venous devices.
• Maintains a clean, stocked patient room and assists with supplies.
• Supports patient/family communication and discharge planning.
• Promotes safety including mobility assistance and safety rounds.
• Promotes patient comfort with basic needs such as water, pillows, meals.
• Transports non-monitored patients and assists with transfers for monitored cases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
