Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England in Hartford, CT is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with attention to image quality and patient comfort.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, CT license, ARRT and Mammography certification, and at least 3 years of experience in acute care mammography. Join our collaborative team and contribute to high-quality breast imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Radiologic Technology program with an associate degree or higher.
• CT Radiology license required for Connecticut.
• ARRT certification and Mammography Certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of mammography experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients by confirming patient identification; reviewing imaging request; checking for special instructions; confirming anticipated service with patients.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of imaging procedures explaining equipment; answering questions.
• Conducts mammography study by positioning breasts; adjusting compression, instructing patient to hold breath; operating controls to take images; ensure patient comfort.
