Job summary

University Health in Lakewood is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Lakewood Long Term Care unit. You'll provide compassionate nursing care under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, administer medications, perform treatments, and document care for residents.

You will lead CNAs and CMTs, ensure care plans meet state and federal regulations, participate in admissions and assessments, and support quality improvement while maintaining licensure and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current Missouri LPN license.
• BCLS certification.
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care and monitor residents’ conditions.
• Supervise and mentor direct care and ancillary staff.
• Communicate with medical staff and advocate for resident needs.
• Assist with assessments, admissions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with current nursing standards and maintain professional credentials.
• Foster a safe, culturally sensitive, and resident-centered environment.
