Job summary

Rome Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care and clinical support in our surgical office. The LPN collaborates with the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients, including pre- and post-operative support and accurate documentation in the EMR.

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Previous surgical, specialty, outpatient, or physician-office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document patient information.
• Provide patient education regarding care.
• Prepare patients for surgical consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, suture or staple removal, and other treatments as ordered.
