The role requires current LPN licensure, completion of an approved PN program, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a practical nurse in the applicable state.
• Completion of an approved practical nursing program.
• Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification as required.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care practices, and documentation standards.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established care plans, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor, record, and report patient symptoms, vital signs, and changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed and within scope of practice.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and documentation.
• Support physicians, registered nurses, and other members of the care team with clinical tasks.
• Maintain accurate and timely charting in electronic or paper medical records.
• Educate patients and family members on care instructions, health maintenance, and follow-up needs.
• Follow infection control, safety, and privacy standards at all times.
• Respond appropriately to urgent patient needs and elevate concerns when necessary.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative care environment.
