Job summary

Covenant Living of Colorado is seeking Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to support care across assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care communities. You will monitor staff performance, support care planning, and deliver direct resident care in a faith-based environment dedicated to quality and compassion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
• Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State.
• One year nursing experience.
• Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist routine daily direction and monitor nursing assistants to maintain a high standard of nursing care.
• Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants and reinforce training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
• Provide explanation of nursing procedures and assistance to staff to assure ongoing understanding and training.
• Communicate with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations and concerns.
• Observe and evaluate residents' health and communicate significant changes to physician and family per procedures.
• Provide direct patient care including catheter, colostomy care, suction, dressings, and NG tubes.
• Participate in shift report to ensure proper information about residents is communicated.
• Assist in admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring orders are transcribed and communicated.

Education
