Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to deliver safe, high-quality care and support a nursing team in a high-acuity setting.

You will administer medications, monitor patients, document updates, and collaborate with RNs and physicians to guide patients from critical care toward recovery. Eligible candidates hold an LPN/LVN license and complete BCLS within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse
• Vocational School Graduate

Responsibilities

• Providing focused nursing care for patients by administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions
• Observing patients for changes in status and escalating concerns
• Documenting timely updates to help coordinate care
• Educating patients and families about conditions and recovery steps
• Collaborating with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide recovery
