Job summary

Mercy seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide patient care under supervision, aligning with Mercy Service Standards. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care with other departments and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; must obtain and maintain a current LPN license where duties are performed and meet State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/Demands: Stand/walk most of the time; bending and stooping; lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN.
• Certifications: BLS through American Heart Association or completed within 30 days of hire; LPN-IV certification either already or within 3 months of hire.
• Note: additional unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E.) may be required based on position/unit.
