Job summary

St. Luke Lutheran Community is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Portage Lakes campus near Turkeyfoot Lake in Akron, Ohio.

Our smaller, close-knit setting offers lower-acuity residents, enabling thoughtful, personalized care while working with a supportive team. Candidates should be licensed LPNs, patient-centered, and able to document accurately with strong communication. We provide competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license required.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and handle sensitive information confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor residents’ health, vital signs, and treatment responses.
• Assist with individualized care plans development and implementation.
• Provide wound, catheter care and daily living support.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs and the care team for coordinated resident care.
• Educate residents and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Ensure care aligns with facility policies and regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and provide clinical support as needed.
• Assist in training and supervision of STNAs.
