Job summary

BAART Programs is seeking a detail oriented Licensed Practical Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team in partnership with physicians and Nursing Supervisors.

The per diem role involves maintaining dispensing equipment, inventory management, recording patient treatment information, and assisting with staff orientation in a substance use treatment setting.

This position requires current NM LPN license, CPR certification, and experience with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and good standing LPN license in New Mexico.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills preferred.
• Experience with chemical dependency treatment is a plus.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily medications to patients per policy and protocols, including methadone and Suboxone.
• Use automated dispensing systems and calibrate pumps; maintain dispensing equipment.
• Produce and maintain records and reports as required by company protocol and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards for distribution and storage of controlled substances.
• Order, receive and stock medications in accordance with DEA and state regulations.
• Provide daily patient assessments.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
