Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work day shifts in Georgia. The LPN will function under the physician's direction, recognize patient needs, prepare for exams, assist during treatments and coordinate tests and follow‑up care, while documenting in the medical record.

They will educate patients and families, demonstrating competency to serve diverse age groups, under supervision from the Nurse Supervisor and Practice Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current Georgia LPN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under physician, nurse supervisor and practice manager directions.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during treatments.
• Coordinate tests and follow‑up care and document treatment in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families and contribute to a supportive care environment.
