Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Wentzville is seeking a Regular full-time nurse to provide direct patient care under physician or RN supervision.

The role includes administering medications, performing point-of-care tests, and educating patients and families about treatment plans and discharge needs. An accredited nursing program graduate with an LPN license (state-specific or compact) is required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Illinois or a compact state (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Performs point-of-care testing and therapeutic services.
• Educates patients and families about treatment plans, self-care after discharge, and follow-up resources.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and professional practice standards.
