Job summary

Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking dedicated Live-in Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide compassionate in-home care for seniors in the Central Illinois area. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and medication management, while offering companionship and support to clients in a respectful, dignified manner.

Our program offers flexible hours (full-time, part-time, PRN) and the chance to grow your skills through specialized dementia and Alzheimer's care training.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking with dietary awareness.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support clients with routine exercises and activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Shop for groceries or accompany clients shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Provide a pleasant and supportive companionship.
• Report any unusual incidents promptly.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
