Position Overview

Blissful Retreat Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work from the comfort of your home while making a profound impact on the mental health of individuals from diverse backgrounds. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in providing culturally sensitive therapy through telehealth, addressing the unique needs of various communities within Eugene, Oregon.

About the Organization

At Blissful Retreat Psychotherapy Services, we pride ourselves on our commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

Our practice specializes in mental health care for ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant populations.

We believe in the power of culturally informed therapy and are dedicated to building a supportive and welcoming environment for every patient.

Our diverse team of professionals works collaboratively to ensure that all voices are heard and respected.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, employing telehealth technology to connect with clients effectively. We utilize secure, user-friendly electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain client confidentiality and improve the therapeutic experience. Flexibility is key, and while a standard schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM is preferred, some accommodations may be made to cater to the scheduling needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments that respect and consider each patient's cultural background, crafting customized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques during individual, family, and group sessions designed to foster resilience and enhance overall wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for each client.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention support, ensuring clients have immediate access to the assistance they require during mental health emergencies.
  • Deliver education to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community resources.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of patient interactions as mandated by ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Engage actively in case conferences and team meetings, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and cultural competency within the practice.
  • Stay updated with current research in mental health therapy, particularly regarding culturally relevant practices, to enhance patient care quality.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve supporting clients who are often faced with unique challenges stemming from cultural diversity, socio-economic factors, and marginalization. This includes addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns within a demographic that values distinct cultural perspectives. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in delivering therapy that acknowledges and respects these individual experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license in the state of Oregon as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering therapy to individuals and groups, employing a culturally responsive and inclusive methodology.
  • Strong crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, exemplifying empathy and the capacity to engage meaningfully with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and telehealth tools for efficient practice management.
  • A steadfast commitment to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and nurturing respectful client relationships.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in community mental health settings or with specialized groups, such as LGBTQ+ individuals or immigrant communities.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and an understanding of cultural competence in behavioral health settings.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach or educational programs focused on mental health awareness would be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the experience and skills of the selected applicant. Our benefits package is designed to support your overall well-being and includes:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package to care for your physical and mental health.
