Job summary

Hillcrest Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, KY is seeking a full-time and part-time laundry aide to join our compassionate team. Prior experience is not required; training will be provided to ensure you can perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and laundry tasks to support residents and staff.

You will work with the housekeeping/laundry supervisor, maintain clean facilities, handle waste properly, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cleaning.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Ability to follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to interact with staff, management, visitors and the public.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and keep the work areas neat.
• Willingness to adopt new cleaning methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the physical cleanliness, appearance and maintenance of the inside of the facility and its equipment and furnishing.
• Works with the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor to implement recommended changes as required.
• Ensures that all housekeeping procedures are followed in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Cleans designated outside areas, scrubs porches, patios, etc.
• Provides daily cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing of all resident and public areas.
• Periodic cleaning of windows, walls, floor waxing, and polishing; furniture washing and upholstery cleaning.
• Keeps areas clean and orderly throughout the day.
• Disposes trash properly and relines receptacles as needed.
• Maintains a neat appearance and presents a professional image to visitors.
• Refers questions about the facility and residents to Supervisors.
• Performs all cleaning assignments in accordance with sanitary regulations and policies.
• Reports accidents/incidents as required by policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
