Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Laundry Assistant to support the facility's Environmental Services team by handling linens, clothing, and laundry operations on-site. This role requires attention to cleanliness, punctuality, and adherence to facility policies in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

The position involves stocking linen closets, transporting soiled laundry, and ensuring proper washing, drying, ironing, and folding of residents’

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Attend all Environmental Services Department meetings and inservices.
• Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
• Work every other weekend with rest days off during the week.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes linen closets and carts at appropriate times daily.
• Collects soiled personal laundry per schedule and transports to laundry area via covered hampers.
• Assures washing, drying, ironing, and folding of patient’s personal clothing.
• Assists with assuring laundry services with the Facility meet the needs of the residents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
