Job summary

Savant Senior Living is seeking a Laundry Assistant to ensure residents’ clothing, bed linens, towels, and other items are clean and kept hygienic. The role works closely with housekeeping and care staff to maintain comfort and well-being in the facility.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, folding, and delivering items, identifying stains, and following facility safety protocols. Prior experience in laundry or healthcare is a plus, with flexibility to work weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
• First Aid/ CPR Certified.
• Special skills needed to meet client needs (California Code of Regulations)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in laundry services or a similar role is a plus.
• Experience in assisted living, health care, or a similar environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and launder all residents’ clothing, bed linens, towels, and other items.
• Fold, iron, and return laundered items to residents’ rooms in a neat fashion.
• Identify and treat stains or damage promptly.
• Operate laundry machines following manufacturer instructions and facility protocols.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on laundry equipment.
• Report malfunctions or repairs to facility management.
• Ensure items are laundered according to care instructions and PPE used.
• Liaise with residents/families on laundry preferences or concerns.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and care staff for timely laundry.
