Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is seeking a Cook to support the Healing Center and internal food services. You will prepare and produce nourishing meals, follow recipes, and ensure food safety and quality across multiple facilities.

The position requires 1–3 years of cooking experience, ability to work 10-hour shifts Wednesday through Saturday, and a willingness to support various SMSC Food Service areas. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of cooking experience in à la carte, catering, or F&B settings.
• Skilled with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
• Ability to follow sanitation and food safety procedures.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug tests.
• Valid Class D driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook, and deliver high-quality meals for customers, staff, and community members, following established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure food is stored, rotated, and labeled properly to maintain freshness and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all kitchen areas, including washing dishes and floors.
• Support multiple SMSC Food Service areas as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely meals and compliance with USDA guidelines.
