Job summary

American Veterinary Group is seeking a full-time Kennel Assistant to support busy General Practice Hospital operations at Southside Animal Clinic. You will help care for boarding animals, manage feeding schedules, provide prescribed medications, and maintain kennel cleanliness to ensure top-notch patient care and client service.

The role requires on-site presence, strong teamwork, and a compassionate, can-do attitude; weekend availability is a plus and daily tasks include basic hospital cleaning

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work in a wet environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for boarding animals and provide prescribed medications.
• Maintain kennel area, cleaning and feeding schedules.
• Bathe animals and support patient care routines.
• General cleaning of the hospital and direct communication with clients.
