Job summary

Right at Home in Ann Arbor is hiring Homemaker/Companion to support local seniors with companionship and daily living tasks. Training is provided, and you’ll work close to home with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations as needed for the job.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship during activities and accompany client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and hobbies.
• Assist with homemaking tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Establish partner relationships with the client to ensure safety, comfort, and meaningful interactions.
• Offer simple meal preparation and grocery runs as needed.
• Engage in on-the-job training for unique client situations and contribute to a positive work environment.
