Job summary

A First Name Basis (AFNB) is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in Eunice and surrounding Louisiana communities. You will provide personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments, while documenting care and following safety protocols.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to client homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug, MVR).
• Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, etc.
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation and assist with feeding as needed
• Medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments
• Travel reliably to patient homes and assigned visits across the service area
• Transport clients to appointments, errands and activities using a personal vehicle
• Document care provided according to company and regulatory standards
