Job summary

Amada Senior Care in Sugar Land, TX seeks compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and veterans, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. You will assist with daily living, offer companionship, and promote dignity and independence.

Flexible scheduling includes full-time, part-time, and weekend shifts, with next-day pay and benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Two years healthcare or in-home care experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Valid auto insurance required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Able to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel within 25 miles.
• Willingness to work with both male and female clients.
• Strong communication and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around the home and during outings, including walks and medical appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals according to client needs.
• Complete grocery shopping and other errands or accompany clients as needed.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Observe and report unusual incidents or changes in a client's condition.
• Respond promptly and responsibly to emergencies.
• Assist clients with activities essential to daily living.
• Encourage independence and maintain a respectful, supportive care environment.
