Job summary

First Name Basis (AFNB) is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our in-home care team. You will provide personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance to clients in their homes across our service area.

The role supports seniors and individuals with disabilities with dignity and respect. We offer flexible schedules (FT/PT/PRN/overnight), competitive pay, daily pay options, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid ID, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client homes.
Pass pre-employment screenings: background check and drug screen.
Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.
Ability to work independently in home settings.
Willingness to complete onboarding requirements.
Kind heart with compassion, patience and professionalism with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Light housekeeping and meal prep; assist with feeding as needed.
Medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments.
Monitor and report changes in client health and well-being.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment.
Ensure proper use of safety equipment.
Document care provided according to standards.
Travel to patient homes and assigned visits.
Complete required in-service training on hire and annually.
Follow written care instructions and document services.
