Job summary

Visiting Angels of Stamford, CT is seeking caregivers to provide companionship and non-medical support in clients' homes across Darien and surrounding areas. We offer flexible full-time and part-time shifts, including day, evening, and 24-hour live-in positions, with weekly pay.

Wages range from $17–$18/hour for shift work, $19–$20/hour for short shifts, and live-in pay from $220–$285 per day depending on days worked.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/transfer patients weighing 125-195 lbs.
• Hoyer Lift Experience Preferred.
• Must be at least 18+ years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work within the United States.
• Reliable transportation to work is required; driver’s license preferred.
• Must have current PPD and physical.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently.
• Alzheimer's/Dementia experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and non-medical support to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers.
• Complete light housekeeping and meal preparation duties.
• Grocery shopping and transportation to errands and doctor's appointments.
• Assist with medication reminders.
