Job summary

Visiting Angels is hiring an At Home Senior Caregiver to join our Lindsay team serving Visalia and surrounding areas in California. This caregiver provides personal care, companionship, meal support, light housekeeping, and non-medical assistance in clients' homes while maintaining safety and dignity.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience (2 years a plus), a valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience, 2 years a plus.
• Must have a strong sense of professionalism and must be reliable.
• Must pass a background check/drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to the client.
• Provides continuous companionship for the client while on duty.
• Assists in meal planning, purchases of foods, and food preparation.
• Washes dishes and cleans the kitchen after meals.
• Assists the client to live in a clean, healthy, and safe environment while providing non medical care.
• Observes the client's general physical, emotional, and mental conditions, and reports all changes in condition.
• Keeps appropriate records of all activity while in the client's home.
• Provides a sense of security for the client and protects the client as much as possible from harm.
• Assists client as needed, excluding medical care including light housekeeping, transportation, and medication reminders.
• Communicates availability to work with the Scheduler on a weekly basis or as required.
