Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team to provide one-on-one, non-medical care for seniors and veterans in their homes. This role helps clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent and offers meaningful, flexible work in a community setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, meal support, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and following each client’s care plan with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• CNA/HHA experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
• Availability to work one weekend a month.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying).
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
• Remind clients to take medications as directed.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or shopping.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to the office.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Follow care plans and treat clients with dignity and respect.
