Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to provide one-on-one, non-medical care in clients’ homes, helping seniors and veterans stay safe, comfortable, and independent.

You will assist with daily living activities, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship while following individualized care plans and maintaining respectful, professional conduct. Training and flexible weekend availability are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• CNA/HHA experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
• Availability to work one weekend a month.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
• Remind clients to take medications as directed.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or grocery shopping when needed.
• Monitor and report changes in a client’s condition to the office.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan while treating every client with dignity and respect.
