Job summary

Herewith is seeking a kind, reliable helper to support a 74-year-old woman on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The role centers on mobility assistance, transportation help, and companionship to help her remain independent with balance and walker use.

The ideal candidate is patient, safety-conscious and comfortable with NYC transit or Uber. Must be willing to accompany the client outside the home; schedule is 3 days per week with a few hours per visit.

Qualifications

• Support mobility and balance for an older adult using a walker.
• Provide companionship and general assistance.
• Willingness to accompany outside the home.
• Maintain independence and respect client preferences.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility and walking support
• Assist with getting her walker on and off the bus
• Help her safely get in and out of Uber rides
• Accompany her to doctor's appointments
• Accompany her when visiting her husband at his facility
• Provide support when she goes out in the community
• Assist with light housekeeping in her small apartment
• Provide companionship and general assistance as needed
