Job summary
Chicago is seeking compassionate Homemakers / Home Care Aides to join our team. This role provides in-home support to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent.
Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and transportation as outlined in the care plan.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, good health, and passing the agency exam with at least 75%.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related training or experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Valid automobile insurance required.
- Must be in good physical health.
- Must pass agency exam with a score of 75% or higher.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal planning and meal preparation
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as: Making and changing beds; Dusting; Vacuuming; Washing floors; Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms; Laundry
- Assist with essential shopping and errands in accordance with the care plan
- Handle client funds for approved errands when authorized and supervised
- Support clients in following written special diet plans as outlined in the care plan
