Job summary

Home or Away LLC in Columbus, GA seeks a dependable Personal Care Aide to provide hands-on daily living support in clients’ homes, ensuring safety, comfort and dignity. You will work one-on-one with clients and their families as a vital part of the daily care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, nutrition, light housekeeping, and safe transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• Background in home care, assisted living, or memory care preferred.
• Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities (Autism/IDD) is a plus.
• HIPAA compliance and patient privacy understanding.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required before start date.
• Physical ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe mobility (ADLs).
• Observe and report changes in client condition or wellness.
• Prepare meals based on dietary requirements and provide feeding assistance when necessary.
• Light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, organizing) to maintain a safe living space.
• Provide safe transportation to medical appointments and errands.
• Safely transfer and reposition clients to ensure comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate, detailed care documentation.
