Four Winds Community, operated by United Church Homes, seeks a Housekeeping Assistant to perform general cleaning across offices, resident rooms, restrooms and common areas, maintaining sanitary and orderly conditions.

The role involves following schedules, assisting with inventory, and supporting isolation and discharged room readiness while upholding safety and quality standards in a compassionate senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language.
• Must be able to operate and utilize basic housekeeping equipment and supplies.
• Must be able to work with elderly residents and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, resident rooms, restrooms, activity rooms and common areas according to schedule.
• Perform emergency housekeeping and routine cleaning of fixtures, floors and surfaces.
• Dust, wash, disinfect, and polish fixtures, windows and furniture as required.
• Replenish supplies, empty wastebaskets and assist in quarterly inventory.
• Oversee cleaning in isolation or discharged rooms and prepare for new occupants.
• Follow safety guidelines and cooperate with nursing and maintenance staff.
