Better Living in Iowa is hiring a Housekeeper for our assisted living community. You will maintain clean resident apartments, common areas, and facility spaces while upholding infection control and resident dignity.

Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, changing linens, laundering items as assigned, and supporting care staff to ensure a welcoming, safe environment for residents and visitors, with emphasis on compassion, respect, and teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred, especially in healthcare or senior living.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and infection control standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or on a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.

Aufgaben

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and living areas.
• Perform daily and scheduled cleaning of common areas such as hallways, lounges, dining rooms, activity spaces, and restrooms.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and polish floors and furniture as needed.
• Change linens, make beds, and launder resident or facility items as assigned.
• Safely handle and store cleaning supplies, following infection control and safety protocols.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or resident concerns to staff promptly.
• Respect resident privacy and belongings while working in living spaces.
• Assist in preparing rooms for new residents to ensure a clean move-in experience.
• Collaborate with care staff to support resident well-being and satisfaction.
• Adhere to community policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned
