Job summary

Corry Manor is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily housekeeping tasks for residents and the care center. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain rooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

We look for compassionate, reliable individuals with good communication skills. Training is provided; a high school diploma is preferred; experience in similar roles is welcome.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity.
• Experience in housekeeping or related roles is preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms and care center offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas
• Move and arrange furniture
• Empty trash/waste into proper containers
• Follow safety policies and procedures during daily tasks
• Attend required in-service education
• Keeps utility, storage areas and equipment neat and clean
• Follows appropriate Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices when performing department procedures
• Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors
• Cross training as laundry worker for special assignments
• All other duties as assigned
