Somerset Court of Rocky Mount is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. The role involves cleaning resident rooms and common areas, assisting with laundry, waste management, and inventory of supplies, while following safety and sanitation protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior housekeeping experience, with a compassionate approach to caring for the elderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
• Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies; report shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Work with staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Engage with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.
