Job summary

Avir at Lufkin seeks a housekeeper to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitary conditions throughout the facility under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager. You will work closely with facility Administrators and staff to maintain a safe, home-like atmosphere and ensure rights of residents according to Texas Health Laws.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, changing bed linens, transporting supplies, and using equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Experience in nursing homes preferred.
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains high standard of cleanliness and sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
• Clean resident rooms, lounges, rest rooms, corridors and other common areas.
• Change bed linens and replenish supplies in resident suites and carts.
• Move/transports small equipment between departments and assist residents as needed.
