Job summary

Harpers Station of Yorktown in Yorktown, VA is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to maintain a clean, safe, and dignified living environment for residents. Under supervision, you will dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize common areas and resident rooms, while supporting laundry tasks as needed.

You will follow established schedules, assist nursing staff, respond kindly to residents and families, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Follows established cleaning schedule.
• Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.
• Follows schedule for deep cleaning of resident rooms.
• Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.
• Cleans carpets and mops floors upon request.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
• Responds promptly to resident/family/visitor requests for assistance.
• Speaks to residents with empathy, kindness, and respect.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and safety.
• Assists nursing staff as needed and participates in activities for residents.
