Job summary

Shores Nursing and Rehab Center in Port St. Joe, Florida is seeking a reliable housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and a safe environment for residents and staff.

You will perform daily cleaning tasks, disinfect surfaces, dust, vacuum, mop floors, and maintain logs as directed.

The role requires English proficiency, the ability to work independently, and tactful communication with residents, families, and supervisors; fingerprinting clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
• English language proficiency mandatory (read, write, speak, understand).
• Ability to make independent decisions when required.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping: clean, disinfect, dust, vacuum, and mop.
• Empty and sanitize ash trays, bathrooms, and other areas.
• Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean and wash windows, mirrors, and walls.
• Remove dirt, grease, film from surfaces using cleaning solutions.
• Discard waste and reline trash receptacles.
• Maintain documentation, such as cleaning logs.
• Report issues to supervisors and assist with special projects as needed.
